My DH has just bought home from work 4 pints of whipping cream as its use by date it tommorow.
Anyone have any ideas what i can do with it in the next day or so? Can i freeze it either before or after it has been whipped?

Yes you can freeze both double cream and whipping cream provided you whip it first. These threads might give you some ideas for using it up:

I freeze whipped cream in a silicon ice cube tray then in bags. A certain man in my household has been known to eat them while still frozen :rolleyes: They are GORGEOUS used as ice cubes in Baileys and the like.0
