Free Book for the cost of the postage

www.readitswapit.co.uk

I love this idea!!!
  • You register and list books you wish to swap.
  • You then search for books you want to swap then select the person that you wish to swap with.
  • They get an email stating that you wish to swap
  • They then look at your list and can either select a book to swap or reject (I don't know if they can just accept)
  • Then you send them their chosen book and they send you ytour chosen book
Its like being on holiday with the hotel book swaps :rotfl:

P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong board - I could not work out what board was the right one

or try www.bookcrossing.com - who've been doing this sort of thing for ages- there's probably a bookcrossing zone near you somewhere...

    If you check

you can see where books have been released recently and look for them.
  • I've been using bookmooch which is based on a points system. I was with one like readitswapit and because I only had 10 books or so, I found that nobody who had a book I wanted, wanted any of mine. I've sent 3 of my books and received 2 that I wanted.

I've been using readitswapit for a couple of years, its good fun.I've had some good swaps and read some books I might not have picked up in a bookshop but really enjoyed. And once you've read them you put them back on and swap them again! You can make a 'wishlist' of books you are looking for and they will let you know if they become available.Once the swap is complete you get & give ebay style ratings for eachother. The only thing to watch out for is keeping the cost down - try to swap for similar sized and value books.I no longer put hardback or very thick books on there for instance,as I found out they cost a lot to post!
