Cleaning up credit files after Bankruptcy

Hi all
Having been dischargedfrom BR over 3 years ago now i decided to get my credit files (all 3 of them) to see what they had on them and what sort of condition my credit status was in. I am so glad i did because i came across quite a lot of information on them that was incorrect and accounts that should have been closed as part of my BRTCY were still open and i was receiving defaults for some of those accounts still!.
After reading the post on here about cleaning up your credit files, i have now sent off to all the companies involved to ask them to update their information on my credit file as i think i am suffering because of them not putting the correct information down in the 1st place.
I just wanted to know if anybodyelse had gone down this route before and had any luck in getting their credit reports cleaned up by the companies involved?
Any feedback would be great. Thanks for reading.

I'm not that far along yet but yes, many people have had to clean up their files and some companies are easier to deal with that others. Who'd have thought?!
