I have a mortgage on the house i live in.......60k
my mum passed away early this year and i am the only one so the house is in my name.....
I have rented the house out now, and would like to raise some cash say 40k.
is it true i have to have the house in my name for 6 months before i can apply for a mortgage....This is because i was going to sell it so i did not have the house in my name till last month.

koexelek is right, but some mortgage companies won't do a mortgage until you have had it in your name for 6 months0
