Contacted Payplan, and feel an utter failure

Today I did what I should have been doing a long time ago and contacted payplan with regards to not being able to pay the bills.
I have to fill out a sheet for them all about incomings and outgoings etc. I have made £10 token payments to my creditors, and to be honest when I informed them that I had contacted Payplan to help me, and to be honest all of them (apart from M&S who wouldn't listen because I wasn't behind in my payments
) were fine. Some asked for the card back, some didn't.
They were pleasent and honest, I feel like its good i'm doing something. However at the same time being restricted money wise and feeling a failure. I feel like I have done something really really bad, and that now everything credit related is gone. No chance for a long time. I was even thinking what the people on the end of the phone must think. I feel like everyone will be judging me. I thought I would never have to go down this route,
Not wanting any advice, but just wanting to share.

Firstly welcome to the club
Secondly, congratulations on dealing with your debt.
There is a lot of knowledge and expertise here, and if you tap into that over the next few weeks, you will find a myriad of ways to stretch things further.
Have you also spoken to CCCS, as they run a similiar but slightly different system and it may be that you would be a little less restricted with them.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hey why the failure bit.
You have taken control of your life and it will feel good in the long run.
Well done and welcome :T:T

Completely agree, there is no shame in paying back your debts, you just need a bit longer to pay it back that's all.
Good on you for taking control and taking that all important first step. :T:A0 -

I echo what the others have said, don't beat yourself up. You'll get things sorted, it won't happen overnight, but it will happen.
