Save the Date Magents

Hello All,
I want to send out some "Save the Date" fridge magnets and wondered who else had done these and where did you get them from?
I ordered a sample a few months ago, and wasn't going to bother, then the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to make sure that everyone who we wanted to come knew the date in advance of the invitations. But now I can't find the details of the company who made my sample magnet. Typical me!!
Any advice??

Hi
I made my own as I wanted proper plastic magnets and not the ones that are just printed onto a sheet of magnets. I bought the plastic cases from ebay and then just stuck a photo that someone had photoshoped for us in there and sent them out with a small note and a list of hotels near the venue.
All in all they cost me about £70 i'd say, once I'd bought the magnets, card, envelopes, pens, ink, photo paper etc but I am very very pleased with them! Might take a picture and stick it on here, but dont want people to see my ugly mug!0 -
They sound great - just what I need. It would be fab if you could post a photo up. Or PM me it if you would prefer.
Many thanks0 -
Sammy, I had mine from a lady www.magneticmemos.co.uk A bargain at £10.99 for 30 including postage. I am thrilled with them. I will send you a pic if you pm me your email addy. She will design them for you too if you give her an idea of what you want.0

I'll get a picture sorted once I am home from work!
We got them from this seller:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50-JUMBO-BLANK-FRIDGE-MAGNET-89-x-59-mm-INSERT-E1317_W0QQitemZ160276597520QQihZ006QQcategoryZ45077QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
They quickly dispatched and the quality was great.
One thing I would recommend though with plastic magnets is to bubble wrap them when you send, we didn't and some of ours arrived cracked0 -
Thanks for the links.
I really am a dunce. I just removed my sample from the fridge and it's got the supplier details on the back lol

I have just emailed her asking for a quote. They are nice magnets. Nice thick plastic with 2 strips on the back and a lovely hearts picture on the front with the wording:Davey_Boy & Sammy_Girl
are getting married
15th August 2009
Please save the date
Invitation to follow
Is this the right kind of wording. Also, do you have to attach a note explaining that it is in fact a fridge magnet lol.
I will have a look at the two links posted and price them up in true MSE style0 -
Wording seems fine. We went with something similar to this (except roses behind the text)

The top one.
Sorry....these pics ain't working!
OH, btw, I wrapped mine in tissue paper to stop them sticking to the post box pmsl.0 -

If you sign up(free) they will start sending you enticing free offers....one being 25 free magnets. you design your own from loads of designs and they are great quality. I've used them for postcards, business cards and post it notes. It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -
Save the dates are a brilliant idea. We sent ours out last month, they were cards with something along the lines of ' Save the date for the marriage of Sparkle80 & partner at place on date at time. Invitation to follow'
The only thing I would say is watch if you have evening guests as sending the cards to them might make them think they have an all day invite which can cause tension!!0
