Does a debt management plan affect remortgage rates?

Having thought we had £25000 debt I have just found out my husband has run up another £15000. I am devastated.
Now with £40000 I have contacted CCCS and am hoping to go onto a DMP. Does anyone know if this is likely to affect remortgage offers? One of our 2 mortgages (on the same property) fixed terms is up next month, the other next year.
Thanks
Thanks
