tried facebook, etc? or offering local nail places your services (ooh er!), to boost their business?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
I have a friend who set up doing Nails in the evenings and weekends. She made some fliers and sent those out as you have done. Made a free website at freewebs which she put on fliers/posters. On the website she uploaded some photos of her work etc. I work part-time in a large supermarket so she did a few posters for the canteen there stating 5% discount for staff and as this got her a couple of bookings did the same at some other supermarkets in town and at some local large businesses, I think she went around a couple of the industrial estates in the area.
She did say that the first couple of months it seemed like nobody was replying but word of mouth, people who see the ads but dont need it there and then but do later etc and she has got a good steady number of bookings. Once you get a few people will pass on to their friends. Maybe then think of giving your clients a reduced rate next time they book if they refer a friend, or giving both a slightly reduced rate. Hope it helps.Total Debt now £22,525.07 Start Debt £32,732.36
