Calling all Digital Transcribers

Hello everybody. Is anyone else a digital transcriber? Virtual PA? I am currently a med sec and have signed up to four (at the time of writing) digital services. I'm working for one already and have managed about £160 in pay this month and I've only been doing bits'n'bobs when I get in and only about a couple of nights a week and not every week. Does anyone do this full-time as their job? Does it pay? I was thinking of giving up my job after Christmas (don't like where I am  ) and working from home. Anyone got any virtual PA sites that are recruiting? All info welcome.

But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Yep, I do it full time from home - financial sector specialist.
I built up my client base by temping for them first, and haven't - as yet - needed to dig elsewhere. I think there's a thread somewhere else on here with a lot of advice from someone who's a virtual PA - all extremely useful and definitely something I'll dig up in future!
A quick search on "virtual PA" as keywords should find it - I'm sorry I didn't bookmark it for speed. Don't know what else I can do/say to help, but feel free to ask anything and I'll do my best.

Wow thanks for that - I'll go off and have a fossick. I actually am a medical secretary so I've signed up for 4 (at the moment!) medical transcription services. I've been doing for one but need to get a digital footpedal for the others (so have been waiting until I get paid). I've just had an e-mail newsletter from the one I've been doing for and in it they've been apologising for the lack of work this August (it's a bit down apparently). Still, I can't complain. Now I've made the decision to give up work and do this from home I'm feeling a lot better about going into work - well sort of :rotfl: Plus I'll be able to keep on top of the housework as I can stop for lunchnd put the washer on at the same time!!!But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. I think the thread you may be referring to is here (apologies but I still am rubbish at linking but at least you could cut and paste).

I work full time as a VA/PA so feel free to ask if there is anything you want to know that is not covered in the other post.
