Just had a call from the OR. He said that in my paperwork he had found papers relating to an unsecured NatWest loan which I took out a few years ago for £15k (but I think I owed £8k at the time of going BR) and this wasn't in my SOA!!! I can't believe I missed this off. He wasn't very happy about it. He said it raised my debt quite considerably. I said I was very sorry but it was a mistake.
A word of warning. If you are going BR, make sure you go through SOAs with a fine toothcomb. I thought I had everything on there, but was mistaken.
Question - will I be in trouble with the OR for this, even though it was an honest mistake? Am petrified now.

I doubt very much it'll cause any problems.....things happen people forget debts (I did) I think its more a case of the OR having a bad day & shouting at you made things better

Vscared...please try not to worry, most of us have missed off 'something'
I doubt theres anything he can do except 'grumble' at you. I'm sure they understand that going BR is hugely stressful and things get missed off.
It was a heck of an amount to 'forget' though:D
Edit: al least we're singing from the same song sheet PhilThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

I didn't so much "forget" as accidentally left off the form.0

I still wouldnt worry at all about it to be honest....sounds to me like a grumpy OR/Assistant flexing their muscles to try & scare you...not as if they can really do anything elseWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

There isn't really a method for 'punishing' you anyway so I'd relax if I were you.
Think of what is implied - you deliberately hid a debt from the OR that would be wiped out if you'd declared it. It's not really the stuff of a master criminal is it?
Now, if say the 'forgotten' debt was to a family member and he suspected you were showing preference that would have a more sinister whiff about it.
But, as previously stated, he can only get grumpy, and its possibly not a good idea to wind the OR up on a regular basis, but stick your fingers in your ears and it will blow over.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
