Credit file question

I want to know what the impact is of linked addresses is on my credit file.
I have obtained a copy, and it has 282 entries under the linked addresses bit. this doesn't feel quite right.

Hi, I have 32 linked addresses, all this is that when i apply for credit and you give them previous address they link to you new one and so on, basically any credit left at any of these addresses within 6 years would show on your report, but nothing to worry about , it never stopped me getting 32k worth of debt which im now paying back via cccs :(

cowbopper, it looks like you have applied for a lot of credit over the years?

The more checks are done, the worse your credit rating, once you get passed 3 in about 6 months.
