If you go into rented accomodation, and you are claiming IB, then you would be entitled to full help with the rent/council tax/school meals and other stuff - perscriptions etc.

Actually - assuming that OH claims it and you are not working. If on a low income, you may still be entitled to some help with these costs though.

    Morning Queen.

We cannot tell you what to do, only what we would do and what to expect. We all have our own stories here, some more horrific some not problematic at all - but we all have a tale to tell about our BR. who, what, where, when and why.

Personally, I discovered with a short, sharp and terrifying shock, that money means nothing. Its just money and I have so many things to be grateful for and so many things that are far, far more important that I just could not careless anymore about DCA/Creditors/letters. Oh, they were dealt with, paid slowly and not ignored, but they just were not important anymore. In fact my first posts on DFW were ridiculed and I was blasted due to my attitude towards my debts (because I didn't want to plough every penny I have towards them).

I refused to struggle along. And a very personal opinion here, but in your shoes (as in what I can gain from your posts, cos there is always more to life!) I would not be struggling along, or allowing those close to me to get so despondent it can be dangerous.

I am sorry - I have tried hard to word this so that its not preachy-like at all, think I failed! You have a lot to think about and a decision like this cannot be made in a few days. Just don't be rushed into it!
