Are Loans.co.uk in any way connected to MBNA/Virgin?

Reason I ask is that I'm a bit worried why I was approached by Loans.co.uk shortly after being turned down for a credit card by MBNA?

Are the two connected in any way?

yeah MBNA bought loans.co.uk out a few years ago.
  • Yup - if MBNA reject you for a loan, you'll be passed straight across to 'one of their approved partners' who will try and get you to sign the security of your house away for 5 years at least with huge exit penalties.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
