Littlewoods/NDR Help

Hi all, not posted on this part before, long time lurker tho :)

Now here goes...

I have been on a management plan with NDR for the past 3 months paying £40 which has all been fine and have had no problems at all.

Had my monthly statement from Littlewoods yesterday (instead of NDR) demanding over £70, saying that i owed them an extra £30 in arrears and they've charged me £12!!

My question is, can they do this when i was on an arrangement with NDR for £40 a month, which i paid on time with no aggravation? Getting rather fed up with this company, have also worked out that they've charged me over £350 for insurance which i didn't ask for!!

    Hi Lindsay

Can we have a bit more detail, please.

You have a debt with Littlewoods, for how much?

Has this debt been sold to NDR or are NDR collecting on Littlewood's behalf?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Sorry, trying to rush whilst at work!!

Debt currently stands at £739. NDR said that they would take over the debt for three months when i got behind with payments, which i think a lot of people did when they changed their due dates  As far as I am aware, the agreement with NDR was only for three months, then i should be back on track with Littlewoods, or so i was told anyway! This is why it's a bit of a shock to get a statement saying i'm in arrears!

    Picked this up elsewhere
Littlewoods are OK once they refer you on to their internal debt collection service. NDR( I think this is Nationwide Debt Recovery) are the same company as Littlewoods .

what did NDR tell you would happen?

NDR said that they would only take over for three months while I paid £40 a month to them to clear the arrears, which I've done and so it's gone back to Littlewoods - this is why i'm so confused about the arrears Littlewoods now say I have, surely this is why I had the agreement?!

It is my understanding that NDR are Littlewoods own in house debt collecting department, I have had dealings with them, just pay waht yuo can, they will try and ask for more money. but you can't send them what yu don't have. stick to your guns, they charged me £12 for "missed payment" when I questioned them about it they "Found it" and refunded my £12,,Good Luck
 Keep your Chin up.. it can only get better
 I'm one of those people who was born to have money,
    but I just don't have any!
  • HI having same problem with NDR took over mums account for her, to help her out, was just under £2000, now under £800 noticed that she had insurance which was no good to her so got it cancelled, and she was paying 50p per week for paying through Post Office so I pay over phone to save more money since then they have kept charging us late payment fees and telling her to increase her monthly payments, old lady scared so she did, keep telling me something different everythime I phone never a manager around, no Direct debit/standing order or online banking avialable either. what kind of company are they, always rude staff, not willing to help in anyway.. told them today to take mums debit to court as fed up with their attitude

Beleive me, that's exactly how I feel with them!! Cannot understand why they are not even slightly flexible, especially when this time they changed their due dates and a lot of people got into a mess because of it:confused:
  • Lets hope that people read this before using Littlewoods themself.. Or as they say 28 days.28 days
  • Going to bump this back up as I've received another statement from Littlewoods, again they're saying i'm in arrears (how when I paid the correct money on time I don't know!) and charged me another £12.00!!

And will have to bump this again, they are still charging me £12 a month for "missed payment when i am sticking to their agreement, and are now saying i owe arrears of £100! Well actually, one letter says £16, another says £46 and the last one says £99, all sent in the space of three days. I've paid £17 just to stop them harassing me. Is there any way of these people just leaving me alone to pay them £40 a month?
