I bought an Ikea Expedit storage unit for my crafting items. I have to use a wall in the bedroom as my crafting area lol.

Edit to say: Took the pics really quick and its all an absolute MESS lol. Sorry.. Im sure you can organise yours a little better :D

I also bought some card magazine holders, cut the front off then sellotaped two together to make 12x12 holder. I am a scrapbooker so not sure if you have this size of things!

I bought lots of boxes from ikea, and wicker baskets from home bargains (nice and cheap) to put all of my things seperate so I can find them easily. Ie. Stamps and inks.. chipboard.. tools etc

I have folders of plastic wallets. One has rub-ons, one has stickers and another has clear stamps put onto sheets of acetate and slid into the plastic wallets. I find this the best so I can see what I need at a glance. My main tools like glue scissors etc are kept in a little caddy like.. a knife and fork holder/tool holder. I can just get this straight out and use it when I want to craft and everything is to hand.

My ribbons I have put on kitchen roll holders from Ikea. Any loose ribbons are in the left basket and any flowers are in the basket on the right.

Hope this helps you. Any questions or anything give me a yell i'm always happy to help :j

Seriously - I have 2 forme boxes that fit lots of paper and envelopes in (available at B&Q for approx £5 each), 2 x 6 drawer sets the sort you get from Wilkos for £10-14, lots of ikea coloured mini boxes (3 for £1 type ones), lots of little containers, some big ikea boxes (also stored on an expedit bookcase from kiea but a smaller one than these, and 3 or 4 drawers of a Spice type chest of drawers!

  • I did have a craft room for a few months then my youngest son moved back home after his relationship broke up.I so miss that room .I didn`t need to tidy things away overnight.
  • Now I craft in my bedroom and it becomes such a mess cos of lack of space.
  • Oh keeps finding needles and pins stuck in the bed ouch!!!!!

I turned the 5th bedroom into a study and like Pinkladymel I bought the Ikea expedit to store all my bits. It keeps everything neat and tidy and I can store all my Nappy Cakes on top. I also have the expedit in my boys rooms for storage its brilliant.
