hi,
this is a bit of a re-post, only because i was advised to put it in here, here goes:
==============================
Hi all,
I've recently started to sort my finances out, with a lot of help from this site, but i've found something that i cant find an answer for in the other posts.
I am using this to remove a default that i'm certain i shouldnt have: http://www.learnmoney.co.uk/credit-c...lt_notice.html
just to let you know, this is a debt that i've been paying to a 3rd party for over 3 years, then a default appeared on my account for last July?! i had been making payments right through this period. I also were never sent a letter. When i called them, we couldnt find any record of me (i've had quite a few different addresses). Surely this shouldnt matter if they sold the debt years before? (the company also changed to a different company (renault finance to RCI) so i think its just become a mess)
now ..i have sent the first letter a couple of weeks ago, but there are a few changes as i found this one after it was sent. The first change is that i didnt mention an administrative fee, i didnt send anything. The second thing is i asked for them to reply in 14 days, I sent the letter on the 15th, and they received it on the 16th (it was recorded). It has been longer than 14 days now and i dont have a response, how long should i wait? and how would i go about sending another letter to nudge them in the right direction, just send the same?
Kind Regards,
Jon

The company have now acknowledged my change of address letter, but are still not mentioning the other one i sent. Should i send a letter to the girl who replied to my other one?
I dont know who else i can go to?
Regards,.
Jon

Just bumping to see if anyone can help.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
