No Tescos, but got an Asda and a Morrisons... I want club card points!

My OH, who I don't live with seems to do quite well on her club card points, picking up her shopping and everything on her Tesco Credit card, at Tescos and she get's back a small fortune back in points which she then spends on all sorts!

Now do I start shopping at Tescos when I visit her? Or is there a way of getting points or something for nothing at Asda or Morrisons?

The best you can do is get a Tesco Credit Card too.

You earn points wherever you use it, not just in Tesco.

Every time you spend £4 on your Clubcard Credit Card, no matter where, you will get 1 Clubcard Point.

The only way to earn points in Morrisons is by buying fuel, their Morrisons Miles can be exchanged for £5 discount vouchers which can be used against your shopping.

I have got an Asda credit card, which gives you 1 point per pound spent, then that is converted into a voucher every November - 1p per point - for example 150 points would be £1.50.
It also gives you 2p per litre off of fuel. Asda is always cheapest for fuel round here anyway, so its great for me!
  • I find ASDA (and sometimes Morrisons) are generally cheaper than Tesco (Lidl & Aldi are even cheaper), but people seem to have done well if they exchange their Tesco points for deals vouchers.
I understand that this scheme will be stopping soon though, but I don't know the details.....maybe someone else can shed some light?

We tend to go to Morrison's once a month and fill up our fuel, then shop at Lidl and ASDA in between, but we just got a £5 voucher at Morrisons from our Fuel card - wish we'd got the fuel BEFORE we did our shopping - hope OH doens't lose the voucher in between!

Can you shop online with Tesco or do you have to live within a certain distance?

wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

My credit card gives me 1 clubcard point for every £2 spent. 1 point for £4 is not a good deal. Shame the old 1 point for £2 is only for existing customers.
