I think your mum is absolutely right btw. I find No 7 Instant Radiance at least as good as YSL - at half the price (ish). So, by my calculations, that makes it a darn sight better! (To use a technical term;) ) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't know if any of you remember (was a few threads back now!) my search for an eyeshadow to match the No7 stay perfect eyeliner... well I found one! Thanks to everyone's recommendations, I went to Barry M and found a new shade, 'Aqua Gold' (no 92) that must have come out since my search began (maybe Mr Barry M reads this thread with mr Boots!) which matches almost perfectly, if a little darker. All the others I tried were not green enough but I think the gold in this makes it stand out from the others.

Anyway, here's some pics:


(1st pic with flash, 2nd without, the colours are a bit more washed out but it's a bit more real-life than the other)

I also used a silver eyeshadow (bourjois but I don't think the brand matters) around the brow and underneath. It's not as complicated and fancy as Mrs BB's I don't think!!:o (sorry for all the make up talk broclo!)


I had a superb day at boots today. I'd totally forgotten about the 500 points day today, as like everyone else, I'd thought it better to do £5 transactions than 1 big one for the points. BUT... it's my birthday soon and just coincidentally OH was going to town to get me some gifts and asked if I wanted to come along. Very glad I did now!
I had asked for Coco Mademoiselle, and fortunately that is over £30 and as OH doesn't have an ad card I got the 500 points too! I also made him get some zovirax (in a seperate transaction of course!) so his lovely gift and spending in boots got me 2 pinkies and 2 facial TS plus over 650 points!

I'm on a complete spending diet (well starvation really :eek:) but I managed to get...

Soap and Glory glow lotion 125 points (points total before this was 352 lol, I spend them almost instantly)
1 No7 bronzing palette (to replace my broken one yay!) £0
1 R&M eyeshadow brush £0
Time delay cleanser £0 + 200 points
Time delay exfoliator £0 + 200 points (never got refused using both these vouchers together in eldon square...!)
Trevor sorbie blonde shampoo x 2 £0.02
Trevor sorbie bronde conditioner x 2 £0.02
Trevor sorbie serum x 4 £0
Barry M dazzle dust 450 points

And happily got served 5 mags from the other newcastle store (near the Gate) they still had loads, reckon they really want rid of them!

I did 2 transactions just the TS stuff (limited it to 2 per SA lol) and the second SA asked how it worked so I explained it to her - I hope she uses the information for good, not evil!

Now I only have a couple more TS vouchers, and 3 till spits coming to me from a fellow bootser and then that'll be it for me, well until next month, but I doubt mr B will ever give us a month as good as this one again! :T:T:T

Lovely SA in Sheffield Fargate yesterday

Tried to use a pinky on one of the Ruby and Millie i-something brushes. The other 2 had worked OK earlier but this one beeped. Acted surprised and said - oh, that's weird, it worked on the other ones. Am blonde so can act dumb! So we went to look at the shelf and agreed that was weird.

2 coversations with No 7 and Estee Lauder people later we all agreed it was weird ... and that we needed to find someone who could override so I could have it. Strolled round the shop for a while and eventually found someone on the pharmacy tills with power who did it.

All the time she was apologising to me for taking up my time and I was apologising to her for causing her so much trouble - lol.

So that's two great SAs on the downstairs tills in that shop. Her name on the receipt was Vicky H (the other good one I think is G Horwood).

Have run out of pinkies and tillspits now and have self-banned myself from Boots until they aren't being handed out any more

:j I topped up both phones to get 500 points twice yesterday :j

Finally managed to get a reduced £2.50 hanging toiletry bag, plus Damask rose giftset £2.50 (was£10) and a coral beachbag for £3.50 (was £14).

Spent my till spit stash on No7 nailfiles (£4) for DDs college present box, Sanctuary Spa wipes (only sort instock) and TD toner (DD won't get wrinkles!)

A nice male SA scanned the 200pt TD vchr for DD straight from the mag for a free item (wish I was young!) so I produced my vchr that others had refused and he scanned that with my free TD too.

Staggered out feeling worried that we might have bankrupted Mr B .
