Bankruptcy And Bank Account Advice Needed

HiI've fixed an appointment to file my petition next Friday. Does anyone have a list of the kind of reasonable outgoings the OR/Court will accept as am going to fill my forms in asap. Also, from the date you file, how long does it take for the OR to contact you? thanks0

There are no allowances as such but the OR does follow guidelines. If you post your SOA there are people who can help tweak it.
Usually you will talk to the OR's office briefly on the day so if there is anything that needs urgently sorted then you can advise them. You then usually get a call a few days later to arrange a telephone interview, though some posters on here have had to wait a couple of weeks for the call.Namaste DeeDee x0 -
I want renting with a very strict agency when I got my BR - I sent them a letter explaining my situation the minute I was BR and before the OR got to them stating my rent was my first priority and always would be. They were fine, think it looks better if you are upfront rather than them getting a letter from the OR. I have to say though, the OR then didn't contact mine and I know several other people where the OR hasn't. If you are up to date with your rent they don't seem to although I guess it cannot be guaranteed. I suppose landlord could be treated as a creditor who should read the local paper to find out and stke his claim if he has one!0

If you rent from a council is that the same, I take it is is, my rent is up to date but having read this I am a bit worried. I did not know they contacted your landlords, so this was a bit new to me to read! and very worrying as well as I have my mum aged 74 and my son aged 14 and to be thrown out would be beyond thinking about.
Glad this poster highlighted this question before I go BR, not that I can see any other choice in the matter. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0
