100% mortgages were around a long long time before the slightest hint of a housing boom.
The problem is the likes of Mortgage Express (Bradford and Bingley) offering up to 110% as a secured mortgage and Advantage who were offering what became known as 'The Pulse Mortgage'. If you had a pulse you could ave the mortgage! A 100%, Self Certification, Adverse Credit, First Time Buyer mortgage:eek:. Totally irresponsible lending.I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -

...and they would probably also lend on log cabins with asbestos roofs
