Yep. They didn't find any meat. There is some criticism of the products in that Linda was a vegan, while many of the products are not, but the issue there was eggs/dairy.

They are still highly processed products, but we've had the sausages once in awhile and found them to be pretty yummy.

    Has anyone tested anything yet?

I signed up ages ago but haven't heard anything more from them

Me neither....not so much as a sausage to test! Think this might be a thread for the "gone but not forgotten" section.

Well doesn't look like any one ever has.

Yep I think it should be heading for "gone but not forgotten" land, unless someone knows something we don't.

Have only just found this post & signed up just in case - thanks for post!

Did any one ever hear anything back?

After skimming through a few posts have to say am pretty sure 'meat' products/derivatives were not used in these products just from diligently reading ingrediants on all that I eat but have to agree that some of the range that I used to find really tasty have either disappeared or don't seem to be as nice (particularly pies [which I used to love], pasties and Ploughmans Pie) - one good reason for getting us all on the panel!!!!!!!

Have also noticed that some things (such as pasta) contain free range egg (quite a lot of vegetarians don't eat egg but do eat dairy products) and feel sure that pasta dishes etc made without egg would broaden their sales/market/buyers.
  • There was not reports of meat found in LINDA burgers or products. The error was that the labels had a fat content stated and the real content was more than double the stated amount. Whose memory was playing tricks then?

I expect someone remembers some sort of 'scare rumour' - I seem to recall loads of people talking about it and 'passing it on' at the time & things escalate (I don't mean on this board I just mean people in general) where I worked then etc.
