Did you take out a Northern Rock mortgage 2-3 years ago?

Hi guys,
Following a few emails we have received, we're on the hunt for some info about Northern Rock mortgage deals.
If you took out a short term mortgage deal in the past two or three years with the now-nationalised bank, do you think you were promised the opportunity to get any rate it was offering New customers, at the point your deal expired? A few site users have said they were promised that they'd be able to do just that, but then following the nationalisation, the opportunity to do so disappeared.
We'd love to hear any stories or information from people in similar positions, or if you remember any advertising literature from Northern Rock from that time offering such a guarantee.
Please reply below if you can help us out - if there is a problem we want to be able to highlight it to as many people as possible.
