remove default?

I had a Littlewoods account and it was passed to Moorcroft Debt Recovery, I have been in contact regarding repayment and informed them of a change of address in which they stated theyd send direct debit/standing order mandate to my NEW ADDRESS, never recieved it - I can only assume they have been sendin post to my old address.

This account has never shown on my credit report ever since I opened it but now this default file on my credit report has arisen, which says the account was defaulted in JANUARY - I once again never recieved the documentation to say it had been - Perhaps it was sent to my OLD ADDRESS YET AGAIN! - also why has the account never shown on my report before then or after then but all of a sudden now?

Please can you advise what you would do?

I admit I got myself in the mess on my own by not paying but I want the default removed as its led to this due to lousy communication within Littlewoods/Moorcroft?

please could someone give me some advice? I'm absolutely fuming.

Is it Littlewoods I have to take this up with or Moorcroft? If they passed my debt off to them does that mean they registered the default?

I would, in the first instance, ask Moorcroft to provide you with a copy of the original consumer credit agreement, deeds of assignment and an up to date statement of the account:

    http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=getting_a_copy_your_credit_agreement_and_account_details

This, if they are able to provide it, should show who was responsible for registering the default - have you, also, checked with your crf as to who issued the default.
