What do you know about Ownhome???

Hi everyone.

I've been looking into getting a house with my partner up to a max of £150k. We live in Milton Keynes, so the house prices have been quite stable up until the last month or so where the credit crunch has finally hit the area.

We are saving avidly for a deposit, but then came across a government scheme called 'ownhome', similar to the catalyst scheme 'homebuy'. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it and whether or not it's a good option if we're struggling on saving up a 10% deposit?

I know I wouldn't bother going for the Catalyst MyChoice Homebuy scheme if I were you... It is nothing but pure pain.

I don't know much about the Ownhome scheme, but from what I have read from others on here, they haven't had much luck with it...
