Sorry but £3k on nursery fees does seem a lot of money.

I would go to the nursery and ask them to provide you with a breakdown of the dates and times of the sessions you owe them, maybe they have made a mistake.

Not sure if I am correct here but if you also send a letter to the debt company advising you are quering the amount and have requested dates and times, I think they have some responsibility as well.

I have checked the bill, and its about a hundred quid out, but more or less correct. I have also contacted the CCCS who have advised me not to offer more than I can realistically afford and to pay this regardless of whether they accept the offer or not. I am going to start and do this with effect from this week.

I have also taken on board the comments previously received regarding a nursery involving a debt recovery agency, particularly as they didnt speak to me or write to me about this before they decided to pursue this course of action. I am hopeful that I will be able to remove my child before the end of the year, although it may take me some time post that date to clear my contact with them.
