I'm so excited I just paid off a debt!

I never thought I would get this excited about paying off a debt. I've just got confirmation that my lowest debt (£821) is now clear. :T :j
I got an extra Tax Credit payment (I did double check it with TC before i spent it), a refund from BT (I changed suppliers) and my volunteer expenses and chucked them all at it.

Wohooo!!!!!!!

I can't share this with anyone as only my OH and my best friend know about our debts, hence the post! I can't believe I finally have paid one off. My DS is looking at me as if I've gone mad! (I'm dancing round the kitchen!)
Anyone else get this excited about clearing a debt?

1 down only 9 and £48K to go.

It's taken me over 4 years to pay one off, but it doesn't half give you a boost when you do.

Right which one is my next target!

Debt free date July 2024! I don't think so, it'll be going quicker than that!!!

Thanks everyone! At least you lot are happy for me!

CCCS just told me off when I rang to update my balance they told me I shouldn't have paid one off but should have split the money between my creditors. If I had done that they would be looking for an extra payment every month.

Oh well! I'm a naughty girl, off to stand in the corner!

    (Still happy though)

    well done honey!!!

I had a bonus from work in my pay packet today, have paid off a couple of niggly online shopping accounts, so can totally relate to how you're feeling!!! it is ace isn't it!

And pah! to CCCS, don't let them rain on your parade... it wasn't like it was money you were ever going to have on a regular basis. Far better psychologically to chalk one off i think!

    Well done you!!!!!!!
