Just a quick one. Most magazines for January, especially electrical and computing mags come out in December. If you're planning to buy these products, then often the ads list the post christmas prices - an easy way to check what's going to be happening.

Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
  • OR for items over £50 couldn't you just do the barclaycard trick as mentioned by Martin in this article

    thanks martin!!
    look after the pennies.....
  • Sorry - am I missing something here? Surely if a mag is out in December and has prices advertised, the retailer is obliged to sell immediately at those prices? If I were a retailer, I'd post my post-Xmas prices in the February issue that comes out post-Xmas...

Generally, it's plain that prices will generally drop after Xmas anyway - I've often asked for money/vouchers in lieu of presents because I know I'll get more for my cash!!
