I have just learned that Enfield council is now offering a cash incentive for using cloth nappies. You must provide an original receipt, proof of address, a copy of your child's birth certificate and have a Health visitor verify that you use cloth nappies (all of which seems a bit prohibitive but they maintain that they have to prevent fraud) and you will receive upto £51 back. You may also choose to use the £51 towards a nappy washing service if you don't wash at home.
Happy nappying!
