Before I start!?!?

I phoned up my local court house today to ask for forms needed to [apply?] for bankruptcy - It felt like a HUGE step to make, as tthough I was finally admitting to myself that this is how its got to be. I'm a little unsure how OR will see the following when my bankruptcy petition/appication gets underway.

a) Hubby has been using my bank account (in my name only) for his wages to go into - he now has his own account which all his wages will get paid into in the next few weeks and all direct debits (rent gas etc) will be going to his new account also.
B) We both have mobiles (same contract) in my name, as my hubs works away we really do need these so he can speak to kids and collegues throughout the day (is a driver so can not access landlines). We are going to get the contract in his name if poss.

Could either of these been seen as attempting to hide something or being in any way fraudulent? I'm just worried that it might look "suspicious" or irratic making these changes a few weeks before going for bankruptcy.

    Hi Raradel,

Don't think you should be worrying that the OH used to have his salary paid into you acc, makes sense to alter this if you are going BR.

As for the phones if they are in OH name thats OK but OR may not like it if they are both in your name

    Cheers DEZ

Nothing is ever guaranteed, but ORs are busy and more than likely won't even mention the subjects.

No chance of a BRO for that and that would be your only concern.

OH and i opened a joint basic about 6 wks before my bc(we were going to do an IVA)i then had my name taken off it as only i went bc. The OR was fine with it.You will not be hiding anything and your OH can explain during the interview. If the OR wants he can get copies of your bank statements to look at.

You are allowed a mobile during bc. The OR will allow a certain amount on your i&e, if the contract is more you will just have to find it from your surplus.

Hope thats help put your mind at rest.D

I agree, nothing suspicious about either of those things.

Thank you everyone - anyone who's seen my previous posts will know I always think that others will always think the worst of me! Still waiting for forms, just want to get the ball rolling as starting to get very stressed now - feel a bit in limbo. Been told by CCCS if doing bankruptcy soon not to pay creditors but I'm worried the more time that passes, the more time creditors have to start with letters and calls and maybe debt collectors. Forgotten what its like to be happy.... or just relaxed would be nice.
