Daughter wants one for Christmas, bearing in mind that she's a dolly day dreamer, she put her mobile in the wash machine ( genuine mistake !) so we bought her a new one which she managed to loose in 4 days
So going by her track record we dont want an expensive one but not too cheap either, around £50 . Any tips or recommendations appreciated, thanks guys

play.com are quite reasonable and their prices include free delivery. They have many different sizes but for £39.99 you could get a 512Mb:

I'm sure I saw somewhere this week that Argos were doing a 512mb one for 49.99 and giving a 128mb one away free with it....
That would be a good safe bet, 'cos if one gets wet or disappears, there's always another one to fall back on....0 -
Tesco had 512mb MP3's for £39.99 in their Roundhay (Leeds) store last week. Not a well known make, but I took note cos it's pretty well identical to a 1Gig version that I bought on ebay - an import from Hong Kong. It's really light, good quality and easy to use. Got to be worth a look.0

I know you said you didn't want to cheap but this is a good deal and it has free p&p too. It looks rather smart. Black, square and shiney!
