The easiest way to make soap is to buy melt & pour, you simply do what it says melt and pout into a mould, you can add colours, fragrances etc... it's quick and easy and you don't need to wait weeks for it to be ready, plus it's much safer than making 'real' soap.
Bath Fizzers - Basic Recipe
Suitable mould
500g bicarb, 150g Citric Acid: 100g Corn Flour: Witch Hazel in a spray bottle. Optional powder pigment (colouring) or liquid colouring, 7 - 10ml Cosmetic Grade Fragrance
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly making sure there are no lumps, squish them with a spoon or put them through a sieve. Spray once or twice with Witch Hazel until the mix holds together in your hands, Gradually add colouring/fragrance and mix thoroughly again check colour and fragrance add more if necessary but remember to go slowly or you could over fragrance or colour your product.
You are aiming to get the product not to wet, dry or crumbly, it should be like damp sand.
Fill your mould overfilling it slightly as they do shrink a bit, leave it to dry for about 15-20 minutes and you should then be able to gently ease the bath bomb out of the mould, put it in a safe place to dry completely I usually put them in my airing cupboard overnight. Once dry they should be rock hard! You can then wrap them.
The above are just simple recipes if you want something specific let me know and I'll type some more for you.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
