How much does a finance Co buy a debt for??

Hi we have had our house repossessed and CL Finance have a charge on it. We think it was for a five thousand loan that we had with the HSBC.

Does anyone have any idea of the likely amount CL Finance would have paid for this loan as we dont want them making a profit out of our misery.

Any tips or advice would be very welcome.

    A tiny fraction. it's literally pennies in the pound.

    I had a £1200 Citicard debt many years ago which I did a F+F with the DCA (think I paid £500 but Ican't remember it was so long ago) . I then claimed back the charges and Citicards insisted on going to court - twice - to try to stop me getting them. They put in their evidence that they had sold my debt for £180.
