Keep an eye out on your receipt. Especially at ASDA.

I bought 3 x Wolf Blass last week and it rang through at £4 each. I then bought the same again over the weekend and this time it rang in at £7.48 a bottle. Both times they where on 3 for £10.

I had to go and get the difference refunded twice.

It baffles me where the massive price increase came from over a few days.

    Very nice wine though.

I hope that you received your 6 X £2 gift card vouchers! £12 in all; -

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift card voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

If you did not receive the gift card vouchers, call Asda CS on 0500 100055 and complain, they should send you the gift card.

I wish. Very rare they give me anything like that. I find errors nearly everytime I go.

Will give that number a shot.

EDIT: Printed it. I will be rich by Christmas as I shop nearly every day.

I agree about checking the till receipt. This is not a new offer at Asda it's been going on for months and I keep worrying it's going to stop! I do think the 'you saved' prices at the bottom of the receipt are wildly inflated but at £3.33 for a bottle of very drinkable wine who cares!

Bongedone, are you saying the till didn't automatically recognise the 3x£10 offer?

I've not seen Wolf Blass in the offer at our local stoe, perhaps the stock varies from place to place.

As an idle thought I'd love to know which of the wines in the offer people recommend and whether it's worth a trip to Morrisons to get something different!

I work for ASDA CS and its would have been £2 for each product ( so 2 visits 2x£2) Not £2 per item.

Oddbins are doing 3 for £10 on their own red and white, which i like better than most supermarket wines.

I too have been over charged by asda when buying sale items. I would appear that the next time this happens I should be requesting vouchers as well as recompence

    Hi Maman,

Yes the till did not recognise the offer.

The Wolf Blass was stacked at the front of the store so they must have a job lot. Comes in a plastic bottle also. Handy for picnics.

Not quite sure if you are agreeing with me or not as your post seems to contradict itself! I suggest that you call your head office and clarify the procedure, because the second time this happened I had the letter on me, they read it, contacted head office then told me that they had been applying the wrong procedure and that from then on they would apply the procedure as I have outlined and as is in the letter.

I also have a letter form Asda head office that confirms I am correct, plus if you read the text on the link I provided,(and copied into my post), it says each product a product is an item)

This is the letter from head office; -

    Our Ref:

    4th December 2007

    Dear Mr

Thank you for taking the time to contact me about our over charging policy.

Following our recent telephone conversation I can clarify that in the instance we do accidentally overcharge our customers, ASDA have a policy to reimburse the difference along with a £2.00 gift card for the inconvenience. This £2.00 gift card is issued without hesitation and applies to every product you are over charged on, not per transaction as you have previously been informed.

You can claim these gift cards by either returning to the store itself or you can call us on 0500 1000 55, either way it's not a problem.

I do hope my letter answers your query and if I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Yours sincerely

    Enc. £10.00 Gift Card

Whilst the wording is "product" I was assured, and backed up by the fact that I purchased 4 items of the same "product" I WAS given £8. after complaining and getting the confirmation from head office.

Product/item you are just playing with words, they mean the same in this instance, a product is an item!

My local "corner store", along with several equivalent small local shops nearby, all sell a few types of red and/or white wine for £2.99 each or 2 for £5.

That's 4 for £10, and is only beaten by the cheapest 3-litre boxes of wine in my local supermarket.

They're not top quality wines, but they're perfectly drinkable.
