Yes 3 children, one dog and a cat are v expensive! I'll post soa up as a new thread and ask people in similar circumstances to have a look.

Sorry, should have said. We own both cars and they are worth about £5k each. From what I've learned scouring this site I understand that as we both need a car to get to work we are likely to be allowed £2k each for a car, and I read somewhere yesterday that the OR can offer to sell you back your car sometimes? So I was thinking if my car, a people carrier that I do really need for large family and transporting parents around etc is worth about £5k that the OR might sell it back to say my sister for around the £2k mark??
Anyone have any experience of this??
