What's the deal?

Orange is offering Metro readers a free sim card plus £5 free credit when you sign up via its promotional website.

How to get you free fiver

Simply apply for it, then once the sim arrives register it and top up with a tenner and within 14 days £5 will be credited. The £5 credit expires within 30 days though, so you'll have to use it up quick.

Various tariffs are available, but none are table-topping in terms of call/text charges. They will get you 2 for 1 cinema entry though... (Read Orange Wednesdays for full info).

Call Costs: 15p min std(Racoon) Text Costs: 10p std (Racoon) Paid For Credit Expires after: 6 months without a chargeable call.

So i presume you would have to use all £15 within 30 days as i'm sure you couldn't use the free £5 up first....

I got an orange sim which should give extras for life when I top up, and now none come whenever I top up. I am planning on leaving orange.

also available from orange stores and some of the free sim offers give you two free sims i THINK the metro is one of them

I’m thinking about getting this card offer I saw in compareprepaid.co.uk. It is an exclusive offer from the web but I’d like to ask for some feedback first: Have you tried it? Is it as good as it sounds?
Orange prepaid card is offering cash conscious consumers when they apply for an Orange Cash card a refund on their £5 application fee when they load £20 onto their account by February 29th, 2012.
