Debt referred by Egg to DLC - What do I do please - I am Scared

I wouls sit down with all your bills, loan statements and bill amounts as well as income and then ring one of the free debt agencies. If you are struggling to meet payments then they will put pressure on you and can be uite nasty. If you investgate your options you control what happens, rather than they controlling you. I am sure its very scary but the sooner you do the sorting the sooner you will feel easier about it. Do an honest budget and if you feel able post your soa and we can suggest cut backs - usually things like sky and mobiles are the expensive ones. Also start a spending diary to account for every penny and have a look on old stye boards to see where you can save on grocery budget. Hang in there, youre not alone and remember this is the worst bit! It gets much easier when the sorting is done.Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Thanks0 -
hi, not much to add but just wanted to let you know that i have been in a similar situation...had egg card, hit financial disaster, egg passed to dlc...yes, dlc were complete b***ards, kept phoning etc, i sent them a budget sheet, they tried to increase amount, i told them to go away
in no uncertain terms and kept sending them the same letter and budget sheet every time..result...have been on a payment plan with them for almost four years and have increased payments once! Just stick to your guns and eventually they realise that they can't bully you into paying what you cannot afford!! Good luck and try not to worry....life is too short! 0
