    Hi

You should be able to return the car after having made half the HP payments, so check where you are in the payment situation. It may be that paying a few more would put you into a safe zone and ditching it now could leave you liable for the whole sum.

First check your contract and payment record and then speak to someone like NDL before you do anything else.

Thanks RAS, seems you where right, here is the responce i got from them:
We have also sent a settlement figure to clear the account in full. The figure of £2497.50 is if you want to Voluntary Terminate the account in accordance with your agreement, you have to pay half to give the car back. We were unsure whether which figure you wanted so we sent both, settlement figure and voluntary termination figure.

So looks like i need to wait on to the car until i reach half the payments :( I might see if they will let me "pay up" to the halfway mark and then return it that way. Also, who are the NDL? Sorry, still catching up on all this new lingo :)
  • Well, i am glad i am finally switching away from Lloyds TSB.

Because of my expenses last month, i went over my "Agreed" overdraft by £100. I called up and asked if they could agree it so that i wouldnt get hit with any silly fine/fees. They refuses and said that i need to get my bank within credit or i would be charged a "Daily Fee".

Well i just got the summary in....£270 worth of fees to be exact. Surely this isn't right, can they really do this? It just seems extautionate, i tried to agree a limit, they refuse, and they screw me over anyway...is there nothing we can do?

Would like to hear anyones views on this especially with any hints or tips!

    Thanks,

    Rolo
