When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:
Kalojac - enjoy your day off today.

Morning all.
Not much to report but I have
Brought my lunch in with me
Planned dinner from ingredients I have in (Mushroom risotto as mushrooms are looking tired!)
Remembered swimming things so can go straight from work - saving petrol!
Have decided to do a Hypno/Pigginskint and do a list of things to do eash day. NOt really money saving but it will make me feel better if I get on top of stuff at home. So tonight I am cooking enough dinner for two nights, making lunches for two days and doing a minimum of 30 mins ironing; so that tomorrow night all I have to do is reheat dinner and then can do some gardening.
Have a good day everyone0 -
hello everyone!
I'm having a rubbish day but you know me, I'm still smiling!
Today I have/will
-check the bank (should be no different to yesterday) -done, as expected
-collected my car share money (£25) witch added to the money I took out of the bank Saturday after pay day (£20 left of £40) I am going to try to make last as long as humanly possible before going to cash point again. (For my challenge I can only use "switch" for petrol or essential food) - done
- charged phone at work (again... cause its rubbish) -done
- go to Yoga, using my gym membership
-clean kitchen with the spray mum bought but didn't like the smell of (cause it smells of nothing...) but I like.
- tidy living room and clean with stardrops (my firt ever time using stardrops!)
A quick aside... Stardrops question. Can I premix stardrops in a spare spray bottle I have for convenience when using around the house? and keep it ok in the bottle?
-I'll make a list of all the little DIY jobs I want to tackle around the flat when dad comes on Thursday.
-wash at 30 and dry on rack
Nothing else I don't think!
Have a good day everyone.
