I have tried LOADS of shops looking for black school shoes for my teenage daughters. They both measure between 7 1/2 and 8 (Big) E (Narrow) I've tried loads of shops but have had no success.Bishops in Coleraine were really helpful.....but didn't have anything narrow enough. Please let me know if anyone knows of anywhere in Northern Ireland that I could try for NARROW Black school shoes suitable for teenagers .

Donaghys in Banbridge get a great review for narrow shoes, I've also found that I've got great narrow fitting shoes in Peacocks although I use good insoles for my DD

Thanks for suggesting Long Tall Sally CRAFTYFOX. I'm actually on their mailing list and got a catalogue from them in the post this morning. They do cater for 'larger' feet, but unfortunately not large and narrow feet.Also- much to my dissapointment- they closed the Belfast store last year !0

I remember my parents used to have a terrible time with me as a child getting shoes that fitted. I remember some of the shoes I used to end up with... oh my god!
My shoe size is now 8.5AA (narrow) and I can now find shoes extremely easily.
I don't know whether they would be able to help with school shoes that would be suitable but I can recommend two companies who both do mail order and also can send out a catalogue. The first is James Inglis who are in Peebles in Scotland http://www.jamesinglis.co.uk and Medissa Shoes in West Yorkshire http://www.medissashoes.com. James Inglis send out a foot measure so you can work out what size shoes to order and you can also return any that don't fit and try other pairs. They aren't the cheapest but they are worthwhile using.
Even if they aren't able to help with school shoes at least you will know of them when they become adults.
It was a huge relief, believe me when I discovered that I could actually get shoes that fitted!!!!

My wife has also very narrow feet. We tried James Inglis but the only person it helped was Royal mail as most went back. Coleraine also visited without success
We have found a solution locally - well 60 miles away- Sloans in Enniskillen are brilliant. There is a lady there very empathetic and will take the shop apart to satisfy. I would advise to set aside time on a quieter day. The only drawback is that it costs me a fortune when we make the annual pilgrimage to shoe heaven as I end up paying for the 3/4 pairs bought!
Hope this helps0
