I havent been on this board for a while, but just wanted to let people know that i recieved a letter from the OR on saturday to say that i had been discharged as of 14th August 2008. :j
I recieved a great deal of help and advice on here prior to my BR date and i am truely grateful for this board and the people on here. :A
For anyone wondering wether to take the plunge : Go for it! I am so annoyed i didnt do it before after 7 years of struggling to pay off debts i never had a chance of paying off. All that was really stopping me was the thought of my dented pride when my name would appear in the paper! And hardly anyone saw it (or told me they did) anyway!
And for anyone wondering whether to take out credit cards and loans: dont do it! It'll end in tears and stress!!
The only thing that i find it has affected is trying to move into another rental property. I really want to get out of my flat and get a house with a garden for me and my daughter, and obivously agents are pretty strict about credit checks. I never want actual credit ever again!!
Thanks all
Jayne
