    One word "Weddings"

Agreed! When my mum was a nail tech she did do a stand at a wedding fair which she got quite afew bookings from. All we really had on the table were afew sample nails, and my mum on one end giving quick 5 minute nail paints. Which were a good idea as it gave her chance to talk to the women, and plus people came over just to see what was going on.

Could you get stickers for your car? I'm sure you can get your own signs done on magnetic sheets, like L plates, that you could have on your car when you're out working and take off whenever you don't really want them on.

Good luck with it all though! I found when my mum did it you had really busy times, like christmas with all the parties and in the summer when people went on holiday. You can get by on one off people in those times but it's the inbetween bits when your really rely on your regulars.
  • I offer a free aftercare goody bag to each new client, I put a mini solar oil an aftercare leaflet my business card and tratment brochure and a card for a bottle of free scensations lotion with the next visit. everyone loves a goodybag ! I also get all my flyers cards and gift vouchers made up by vistaprint, its dead cheap!

you will need to leaflet drop regularly , people need to see things a few times before thy take notice (if you can understand me? lol)

and as you are new, I would advise on having a spare brush in case of emergencies . I learnt the hard way, lmao!!!

always always have a set of gorgeous nails, they get me most of my business and everyone you speak to (and I mean everyone) hand them a business card along with a compliment, . you are working for yourself, no one is going to blow your trumpet for you so you have to get out there and blow it yourself lol

I got free coverage in my local paper by offering the journalist a free set of nails and hollywood toes if she would do a feature on me, it worked a treat.

    good luck with everything xx
