It's really lovely to hear that something positive has come out of your bankruptcy and that you and your family have come through the experience, stronger and closer together. I agree with your sentiment that everyone has the capacity to make mistakes, whether financial or not, it is what they choose to do afterwards that defines their character. I applaud your bravery and your commitment to your family and wish you all the best.:beer:

Many thanks to all who have replied to this thread, since writing my eulogy things have continued to look good and I am looking forward to Christmas (no credit card bill in January to spoil things). I am now no longer on the insolvency registers web site so apart from the very permanent record in the London Gazette on-line I should now disappear from the bankruptcy radar.
My credit file looks a mess and I will be using the guide on here to clean it up in the new year, I thought I would give the relevant creditors a few months to amend the details themselves first, in the hope that it will involve less work for me the longer I wait.
