Hi, I'm thinking of asking for a smoothie maker for Christmas as I love the shop bought smoothies (that are sooo expensive!) and I need to up my fruit intake as I want to start eating more healthily.
Can anyone recommend a smoothie maker with an approximate price and where to purchase from? The budget is up to £50.
Thanks very much.

I was bought one of these a year or so back and its ACE. Simple, effective and easy to clean (a bit of a necessity with gadgets). They've a newer version than this one out, for about the same price (take a look at kenwood products on amazon and theres the pro and concert).
On the kenwood site there's also one called the night and day which looks V flash....
Hope this helps

Ooh , that does look nice and on at only £49.99 at ArgosSame old same old since 20080 -
I've got one of these
Absolutely brilliant, but...
If your buying it to save money when having smoothies it may not. The cost for a smoothie is about £1 for a small one, £2 for a large one in the shops. To make the same thing could work out more expensive...
A pack of blueberries (great for smoothies) is about £2 (if on offer), strawberries £2 £1 bunch of banannas 5 oranges £1.50 Raspberries £2.50 etc etc
The price for fruit varies and often doesn't keep for very long...you'll get several smoothies off of the fruit but when you factor in the cost of the smoothie it can be more expensive (depending on useage) and you have to make it and clean out the smoothie maker.
If you are going to go for a smoothie maker I would thoughly recommend the Kenwood SB307 Smoothie Pro.
Look for a decent powered one, and one that is capable of crushing ice. If it can crush ice it can crush anything.

smoothie pro £43
Not a money saving tip but a labour saving one...
Easiest way to clean them is to give them a quick sluice out under the tap with the pourer open. Add some water in and put it back on the juicer...letting the machine do the work for you.

I have also got the smoothie pro as above. It has a really powerfull motor and comes appart easily for cleaning. It is quite large too. The only snag is, you soon get bored with smoothies and it lies idle in the cupboard for months.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0

I got in when it was half price with Tesco Online. It is a brilliant one and have had no faults whatsoever with it. It cuts ice and does all the jobs that the smoothie maker should doWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
