I think they get included in your bc but not 100% certain. There is i think some sort of rule about the date they were incurred. Sure someone will be along later to answer who know for certain.DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Again, not 100% sure but I think if they have sent a statutory demand then that amount can go into your bankruptcy. If you're just a couple of months late and they haven't sent anything yet then they don't go in. Thats the way I understand it anyway.

Hi,
All council tax arrears go in to your BR including the current year right up to March 2009 if you have recived a final denand or liability order.
On the form just put your local authority as the creditor and where it says " what was the debt for " put council tax.

I think it depends on the local authority to be honest. I hadn't received a final demand but they did write off the council tax from 1/4 until 28/5 which is when I went bankrupt.

Hi December,
Your council did exactly as they should in your case. If in the current year you did not receive either a final demand or liability order then they should re calculate your bill up to the date of your BR and issue a new one.
If you HAD of received one then you could of enjoyed being council tax free till March 09.
