Credit Card charges help!

Hello all, I made a claim on my MBNA credit card about 10-12 months ago and accepted an offer of £250 which was half of the total amount. I may sound greedy but what happens if I try to claim again? Times have got very hard (I have taken a pay cut) and am finding it very difficult to make ends meet, I may have to eventually default if I cannot find another job that pays more. Does anyone have any advise. Thanks to anyone that replies.
