    Just a tip:
I also get an organic veg box - once a fortnight as there are only 2 of us and a toddler and found that some of it was going off before we could eat it. It was masses cheaper than buying the same amount of veg in a supermarket and having a mixture of stuff was forcing me to be less lazy with cooking and good for the baby to have different things I probably wouldn't have picked out.

However, I took a gamble and bought some "Stayfresh Longer Bags" from Lakeland. They were quite expensive - around £4-5 for 20 - depending which of the 3 sizes you choose. They have some sort of natural japanese stone powder suspended in the film so this absorbs the ageing hormones in the fruit and veg. I was sceptical. I am NO LONGER SCEPTICAL! My organic stuff lasts 3 weeks in the bottom drawer of the fridge, coming out in perfect condition and I carefully wash out and dry the bags on both sides then reuse them. I figure that I'll throw out a bag after I've used it 4 or 5 times which to me, is great value. One of the first things I do when my organic box arrives now is wash and dry everything and bag it up for the month. No waste!
