Cheapest way of re-connecting to Sky?

My Sky+ box broke in May this year, so I cancelled my subscription as I really only watch the footie. Now that the season's started again I'd like to resume, but don't want to pay the full installation/connection fees, particularly as I already have the dish installed & cabled.
Does anyone have any tips for how I can get my Sky+ box repaired/replaced and my Sky subscription re-instated for the best price?

So I'd get a better deal as a new customer than as a recently-lapsed one? What sort of deal should I be looking for?

Check and see if there are any deals on for someone recommending you. Then you and a friend could get a good deal out of them. Check the Sky website and see if there are any deals on at the moment.
