3 times a day? There is no legal minimum or maximum with regards to harrassment. If you deem 1 call a day to be harassment or 3 a week, then it is. (Obviously it has to be reasonable and 1 call a week could be regarded as reasonable).

If the DCA has their own policy of harassment, then thats up to them, but you can complain! Go to the DWF board and search for harassment, there are template letters there for you to send to the DCA, which need to be done before you put in a complaint.

And look at it another way - while they are hassling you, they are not hassling the little old lady who cannot cope with it all. And its costing them a fortune, cos you aren't going to pay something you don't own!

Thanks for that. I actually was surpried when she referred to her three times per day and asked what she based that on. She said "that's the law". Fortunately I got her name.
  • I had a telephone call from 08703 330159 Intrum Justica, It was only after the call that I realised who they were, they told me they were Ebay, the lady was very rude and intimidating, I stupidly gave them my card details before I questioned her identity, but thought I was safe as I didn't give them the security number on the back. I then contacted my bank, they advised me to cancel my card (start of half term week with no way to get my money until a new card comes through! ) and to keep an eye on my account, as I can only despute the payment once it has gone through. I wrongly thought that with Visa Electron you had to be present to use the card unless you gave the security number out! :o

I am now feeling rather stupid, and upset that I was decived, I tried to ring the number to complain to them but it's just a recorded message telling me not to worry and they will call back - fat chance now they have taking me for a mug!

I have emailed Ebay to complain. But I am not sure what to do now, any advise would be great.
