I have a raclette set which has had quite a bit of use. Friends love it and if I invite anyone for a meal it is usually requested.
The Teflon coating on the grill plate on the top has got a bit worn and last night the food was welding itself to the top.
Is it possible to buy a spray to re-coat Teflon products?
I have found lots of Teflon sprays on the internet but they are all for bike lubrication and would I suspect affect the quality of my food
I could just give it a spray with oil but it might make it smoke a bit and that would not be good in the house. I like the fact that the raclette does not make the house smell to much after use.

Your best bet is to buy Lidl's frying pans and woks. They're for sale from £6-10 and they're far superior to any expensive teflon fans in the high street. I bought a £30 (10 year guarantee) pan from a high street store and returned it twice. Since then I bought a £7 one from Lidl's and it's still going strong 2 years later.0

I agre that sometimes the cheaper ones can be really good. I have some Aldi frying pans which are great.
My problem at the moment though is with a raclette set and the top is an integral part of the whole thing and sits on top of a heating element. You grill raclette cheese under the element and pop bits of steak/tuna etc on the plate on the top.
It is this top plate which is sticking like mad and I wondered if it was possible to buy anything you could spray on to renew the non stick on a surface.Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
Even though it will cost much more (I paid £40 for a frying pan) the titanium ones are the best. I'll never buy a teflon one again. Especially as the teflon coated ones are supposed to be toxic (I read somewhere). The pan I bought will probably last forever as it seems to be scratchproof and won't peel. It's the best non-stick pan I've ever seen.0

Personally, I prefer cast iron which sort of becomes non stick with use. Not any help to OP, though. How about those teflon baking sheets that you line cake tins with? Not familiar with raclettes so don't know if it would work. They're available in Lakeland (who also do silicon ones) and supermarkets. This sort of thing:

i know in my local cookshop you can but some kind of non-stick spray which obv wont recoat the teflon but it will stop things sticking.Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0

I have the same problem with an all-in-one grill / panini thing I have - what I do now is put a layer of greased tinfoil between the food and the grill surface, works perfectly (and saves tricky washing-up) - just is occasionally tricky to get off the food!0

Amazon.co.uk sell a couple of non-stick sprays, which I believe are edible. One is called Bake Easy and the other is called Wilton Cake Release which is certified as Kosher.
Or you can make your own! Just mix half cup of any vegetable oil (corn, peanut, olive, etc) with 2 tablespoons of liquid lethicin (available from health food stores) and store in a pump or spray bottle.0 -
Is it REAL Teflon? (Tefal) Because they come with a 10 year Gtee, i believe.0

I've been looking (online) and they only seem to sell it in capsule form?
Apart from one site, which was selling it at 10ml for £3.99 plus postage.0 -
