HI wondered if someone with some financial acumen might be able to offer some words of wisdom.
Currently got a rate of 6.09 on a fixed 5 yr (at <75% LTV). Have paid for the survey and had it carried out (£450).
Question is - is there anything better out there. I do want fixed for 5 as I am increasing mortgage by quite a lot and I want to know what the repayments are. I am happy to lose the £450 'valuation fee' if there is something which will save me more over the 5 years. Due to move in two months.

What are the fees and how much are you borrowing over how long a period?
There's several 5 year fixes now under 6% such as Nationwide, Yorkshire BS, Brittania and First Direct so they may be worth looking at.My Excel Mortgage Calculator Spreadsheet: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=11571730
